Sports Blog

Evening folks,

Not sure if I am allowed to push this here, but if not then I apologise in advance. I started a sports blog a few months ago, on various world sport but have started gearing it towards Derby County too. It has a modest international following so it promotes the club, and allows myself to air my views (and yours too if you so choose!) on matches, write-ups e.t.c.

Just putting it out there in case you lot fancy a read. I'll be covering every home league match, and will post in here when I add a new write-up.

Nice work, but your penalty shouts are the wrong way around; the first WAS half-hearted but was a nailed-on penalty, the second WAS vociferous but Rhodes got there about ten minutes after the ball had been cleared; it was a coming-together due to momentum, with Rhodes the last to arrive.

Cheers for reading mate.

Do you think so? From what I saw from the South Stand, I thought Rhodes going down under Buxton was pretty innocuous. You might be correct about the second one, though yeah it looked pretty vociferous at full speed. I'll have to check out some highlights.

Good stuff Chrstiano - nice to see your blog evolve from small time sporting feats such as a Tour de France victory to the upper echelons of sporting brilliance that is the Rams, you might inspire 666 to create his own blog.

@2 Wellies.

Haha. That is a fair point, though I will still be covering some major events. I run it by myself, so it's rather selective writing at the moment.

I'm trying to get into sports journalism, recently having an interview with the BBC and they wanted me to come back after having done more homework on local sport. Being a DCFC season ticket holder, it gives me an opportunity to do so.

Obviously not everybody is going to agree with what I write, but that's even better. Promotes discussion, much like what we are all here for.

Cristiano:

if you're looking for engagement, have you considered psoting your matchday articles directly on here, much like Old One Eye used to, back when he was compos mentis? If you posted them simultaneously and linked them to each other, you'll proper garner more response on here as evidence of your journalistic prowess.

Good Luck with it all; just don't fall into the zero-credibility trap that the DET's Steve Nicholson has, with his nose so far up Clough's backside as to render his column nothing more than propoganda.

That sounds a fairly decent idea; I shall most likely do that!

Thanks mate, I'll keep that in mind. I think if things aren't going well then they need to be discussed and highlighted, Clough or not.
