Graeme Rix?

I wonder if anybody heard former Hearts Manager, Graeme Rix, on DriveSound on Radio Ulster describing today's events at Ibrox as 'a farce'.

I also wonder if this observation lends credence to the claim that Graeme Rix is the cousin of 89-year old Brian Rix, the well known former Chair of Mencap, distinguished member of the House of Lords and renowned star of a string of West End farces in the 60s and 70s. It's a strange coincidence otherwise.

A farce indeed and its you fans I feel sorry for, from what I've seen over the last season you guys have stood behind the club which has been great to see, but todays events is a kick in the teeth for you, i really do hope you get sorted

Anybody figured out the Graeme Rix/Brian Rix connection, please? Graeme very outspoken again about Rangers on SportsGlobal early this morning on Radio Cornwall. Says that, unlike Rangers, Hearts always had good leadership 'on the field'. What does that mean??

Rix on Radio Westmoreland phone-in this morning, defending Hearts and criticising Rangers. Said there is sadness across Europe about Hearts' problems in view of 'the many challenges they face in the duopoly that is the SPL', while 'Rangers are a laughing-stock for squandering David Murray's golden legacy and descending into a huckster's bazaar of squabbling and share-trading. The Wonga of European football'. I think the link is still live.

Aside from the effrontery, though, don't you think the language and theatrical figures of speech suggest that Brian Rix might be his cousin after all?
