New signings update.

This cant be true cos JR said we would be shocked/surprised with our new signings.

Tidy Bob. Only to be expected now they've got the season ticket sales. Same old bull$ hit every year about who we're going to sign and it don't happen

Just thought you might like this quote from the 1923/4 Rovers club handbook and appearing in this weeks Rovers fanzine, Popular Stand. "We shall have a great season. If you want to get all the pleasure possible out of it look at both sides and take the game as entertainment. It is no disgrace to be beaten by a better team, but it is a disgrace to turn your backs on players who need your encouragement and on a club which needs your support"

Further extract " -are you a spectator or a supporter? You ask me what is the difference, simply this . A spectator expects to get all he pays for but a supporter pays without any idea of getting value for money, except may be in the dim and distant future."

You could argue that everyone who hands over any money is "supporting" the club.
As a spectator I would watch the match as an impartial observer, but as a supporter it would be illogical to be impartial, and I would be disappointed, to say the least, if my team lost or performed poorly. As a supporter I would also expect to register my approval or disapproval.
The implication of just handing over your money is that you would welcome being given the mushroom treatment.
I am not saying that booing etc. is acceptable.
