Don't get too sanctimonious about England players. Broad did put his name forward for IPL and Morgan played.

and pietersen, don't forget.
I personally don't see what is wrong with english players playing in the IPL, so long as they don't put IPL before their county commitments or their country, or injure themselves while playing as KP did.

Pietersen was injured in the WC and came home for an early operation so did not play IPL.

i mean the IPL a couple of years ago in south africa. KP aggrivated an injury while playing in the IPL, which is the same one that plagued his form for the best part of a year.

the thing is, I basically was sick of all the noise made by Indian fellas about IPL. Players from all the countries were being accused of running after money while compromising their national duties. At the end of the day they are having the taste of their own medicine.

The IPL is the latest mechanism from the BCCI to attempt to control world cricket. You saw how the used their influence on the ICC to block the rival ICL, even though the ICL was around first.
Nothing good will come of that tournament. It's already had a negative impact on not only this Indian test side, but the lack of technique required of batsmen to succeed will have a long term effect on the test team as well.

Cricket has never paied as much as football. Everything has a price....if someone offered us xxxx million pounds to play for a club and not country.....trust me...you'd all think about it
