I know it seems unlikely that this saga could ever be a good thing, but I had a thought.
When Suarez was suspended at the end of last season, Daniel Sturridge was given the responsibility to lead the line as our goalscorer and boy, did he respond!
I think Mr.Sturridge has this type of personality where has absolute faith in his own ability but also feels he's been hard done-by in the past (lack of chances at Chelsea & City).
Now, it's just a thought, but, this whole big fuss being made over one individual and many pundits ('experts') suggesting that it's nearly impossible for us to make top 4 without Suarez might just motivate Sturridge even more. It's almost as if he's been forgotten again and I'm sure he has the arrogance to think
''You know what? I can match, or even better Suarez.''
We saw what Sturridge is capable of, and I'm predicting a massive season for the English forward.
How this whole saga might help...

I'm actually surprised how muted the reaction has been. I was expecting an onslaught on our board, which hasn't materialised. Sure, the usual suspects have been giving it large, but expecting them to be sensible is like asking a Tourette's sufferer not to swear....
I actually think the saner Arsenal fans are a little nervous, now that it could actually happen. Kind of 'oh shiite he may actually come here' situation.

If you lose him, might spur the other players on. Everton got their highest ever place in the PL the year they lost Rooney, right?

We had the team set up to benifit Suarez last season but I think that the intention would have been to have studge through the middle this season with Luis occupying a wide forward position as he's devastating from that position and with studge pace we are more dangerous and fluid with him through the centre

I remember lining up outside Anfield for a ticket to the last game of the season when Kevin Keegan was leaving us. The newspaper hoardings had him quoted as saying if he came back it would only be to Man United or words to that effect.
I was devastated as a youngster to see that headline. The feeling of betrayal was palpable. But I grew up and realised the truth of the old adage, no one being bigger than the club. We signed King Kenny to replace him and we all know how that went.
We moved on from Owen and Torres and we won't skip a beat if Suarez goes. The headlines are all just tomorrow's chip paper to me.
I admit to being a bit more irked at the antics of Suarez purely because of the support he received over the Evra incident and his recent audition for a part as Count Dracula. But wave bye-bye and bank the dosh. It's step up those who remain, next off the academy conveyor belt or an astute purchase and we give Sr. Suarez not another thought.
