So we have a home draw against Brentford in round 2. They came through 3-2 against Dagenham & Redbridge in the 1st round courtesy of a injury time winner.
A good chance to blood some youngsters and give the squad players a run out and hopefully still progress and go on a cup run for a change.

Wait, the league cup has a 2nd round?

He has two winners medals from a nameless club so he wouldn't be that surprised.

That'll pack 'em in!
I think this is the benefit of the competition; it keeps the fringe/squad players interested and sharp, gives the "manager" a chance to see them in competitive action and can be a welcome distraction to the league.
It can also go the other way, but I always think these competitions should be respected and we do our best to win every match we contest. It's not JUST a business, it's also a sport at the end of the day.

Tough draw, Brentford are a team on the up under Rosler.
