My two cents...

I thought I'd share my magnanimous opinion of Liverpool's current predicament with Suarez, the recent transfers in and out and our prospects over the course of the season.

So to start with - Suarez. I cannot see him leaving, I think he will stay another year and he will give his best again though resemble Torres' attitude during his time under Hodgson. I wouldn't be surprised to see him leave next year if we don't make the champions league. His mood will probably reflect the league position we are in. The only way I can see him going before then is if a foreign club - possibly Bayern Munich come if for him with a bid over £50M.

The transfers in and out - I think it's a shame we have effectively swapped Reina for Mignolet though I do like the guy and I think he will do a job as good as Reina at his peak so nothing lost nor gained particularly for me, except his years. Aspas looks very good from pre season, I think he will be a very useful player and bag many goals for us. Bargain buy. Alberto again is a decent signing and the best is yet to come from him. He will no doubt become an integral part of the team over the years. And Toure makes complete sense to me. No complaints. Everyone who has left so far I think has been a good thing though I am sad to see Spearing go. Would have been nice to see him get a better chance at Liverpool like he did under Kenny's interim period. But I don't think he would have made it here. Shelvey I think is a strange one. A loan would have been better - in the Being Liverpool program Rodgers told him he saw him as a big part of the team and now he goes? He probably resembles Gerrard in his style of play more than any other player at the club and now we've lost him, Swansea have done well.

And for the season prospects.. I truly think as the teams sit now Liverpool have a massive chance of finishing 4th. I think Chelsea and City will run away with the league. United will drop off from them and the next 3 position will be very very close. Our squad is as strong as any. To be completely honest I think Man United could easily drop out of the top 4 looking at their team. Fergie definitely got more out of his players than any other manager could hope to get. They will be found out this year I think.

This Liverpool squad is the strongest I've seen in many years, the depth and quality and youth prospects are exciting!

In terms of depth, our squad is miles better than the 08/09 season. But obviously the quality needs to be vastly improved to be able to challenge that team. Still a long way to go, but we're on the right track

need a strong CB possible cover for Lucas and another attacking player. Some say LB too but I think if Enrique gets injured if Kelly is fit Johnson will play LB if not that Downing even Agger can play there so don't think having just Enrique is a problem.

This Suarez debacle has overlooked the fact that we have yet to see the two new players brought in which the manager and captain are on record as saying we need.

Without them I think we will improve, but 4th will be a step too far.

The main thing that worries me is that alright we have a good first keeper but brad Jones is complete Shi*e so we need a decent 2nd keeper

Ha ha he said UTD to drop out he Top 4 just like that.
All the while refusing to acknowledge what this 'average' UTD team have done in the league.
They are the Champions. They know what it takes to win. Surrounded by people who know how to win.
Moyes will be assimilated into the UTD way of life.

Average is what Liverpools recent record is.
Arsenals also.
Chelsea as well
Not UTD. They will defend like Champions.
But then you already knew that....
