So here we go again.
With several of the squad who laid waste last year to the U21 league either on loan, or likely to be involved with the seniors, expect some searching questions to be asked of the next batch of kids compared to their predecessors.

Straws. Grasping.

If this is the tone for in the U21s this season, a lot of the teams are going to be playing with at most 9 players.

Falque's 23?? No wonder you're winning, sneaking on these grown men. Boga and Brown are both still 16. The only player who started that was not a teenager was Josh.

As mentioned, Chelsea get the moral victory Good 3 points for us in the first league match.

I don't think I've ever seen such a fragile team.
And this is a supporter of the U21 side that has/had Carroll/Pritchard/Bartham/Munns in it.

A bit of the usual switch off towards the end.
But a very meh performance by Carroll (more proof he has a lot of progress still to make) .
