Hey guys,
I just wanted to get your views and feeling before the game today . Do you expect Wenger to put out a full strength side as our last friendly before the season begins or will he take this as a last opportunity to play a few youngsters like Sanogo or Gnabry?
Also how much will this game tell us about the relative strength of our current team and our prospects for this season with or without signings?
Personally I think after the Emirates Cup its crucial we get some kind of a result. I expect there will be a lot of negativity right now with the Suarez transfer looking unlikely and time beginning to run out. This is Wenger's time to prove that we really can compete with or without the much needed signings, however I feel Wenger will be disappointed by the outcome of this game.

I suspect we will be more or less playing the team to play Newcastle
I'd go for
Hart
Richards Kompany Lescott Clichy
Fernandinho yaya
Navas Silva Jovetic
Dzeko or Negredo
Aguero is back from injury and Richards has been better than Zabaleta preseason

Man City 4 Arsenal 1

For all Gazidis' words about 'doing that and much more' at the AST meeting, you only have to look at Man City as an example of a club with serious ambition.
They not only changed their manager this summer, but got all their transfer business, (the rest of us can only hope at least) done and dusted early doors. The new players have had time to settle on and off the pitch and Pellegrini has had time to properly plan the club's assault on the title.
In that time Arsenal have brought in, (that's brought, as opposed to bought) a raw youngster from Ligue 2. Where is the clarity in thought here? The planning?
Still the Asia tour went off well, so all's good I guess...

Paul, that team looks solid
Although I'm fairly sure you'll start Zabaleta and Dzeko.

This game is our best chance to force Wenger and the board's hands into actually splashing out.
A bad result and poor performance might make them worried enough about qualifying for the Champions League again that they'll spend money on the new players we need.
Just please God, not Suarez!
