Sakho !

He wants out of PSG and there is interest from Liverpool and Milan. He wants playing time before the World Cup in Brazil as he's been left out of the France squad lately and isn't playing at club level.

He would be a good signing lots of potential and strong, tall, quick, can pass the ball. Has also played with Kos for France before.

Come on Arsene !

Thoughts ?

He's wanted out of PSG for a while now, I don't really believe his excuse about the World Cup. He just needs a change and Wenger likes him from what I've heard listening to his commentary on french national games.

I'd take him to add to our squad depth, I doubt he'd interested in moving from PSG's bench to ours.

Having said that, he's still young, (23) so if he'd be willing to come to Arsenal to furher develop his game...

One thing's for sure, you will get game time here. He could become great and would defo add to our depth. We need quality in numbers, not Williams..

My main concern about Sakho would be the time it might take him to adapt to the English game.

Remember how everyone was clamouring for Arsene to sign Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa from Montpellier? He looked totally out of his depth when he went to Newcastle.

However given that Vermaelen's future is stillthe subject of debate, another CB signing wouldn't go amiss.

I personally don't see a gap in quality between Sakho and Williams, plus Williams has PL experience.
Sakho is being judged on his potential as a 17-19 year old rather than the poor form of the last 2-3 years.

Plus Williams is Welsh. As is Ramsey. Somehow that has to count for something

At first i didn't want us to sign Williams but watching him play for Swansea and hes actually a very good defender. Just his age concerns me as he is 29 so not many years left at the top. If he was 26 i would want us to sign him.

I don't mind too much about his age, he'd be more mobile than Mertesacker even if he was 35. As an experienced backup player I think he would be a good bet.
