Reports are coming out that Downing is having a medical at west ham, I wonder what the fee could be?

Absolute, Rodgers is on the official site talking about Coutinho playing No 10 this season.
===================================
Am I the only one around here who doesn't recognise a shirt number as a position?

No mate, you're not. I don't either.
Coutinho will be played in a variety of ways this year I reckon. ometimes on the left, sometimes behind the striker, sometimes as an attacking midfielder. What number does that make him?

false-9?

Binary?

Coutinho will drift in from the left. He's too good a player just to be threading balls through to strikers, he can get past players and jink into the area too.
So short position wise, 11 being left wing, 10 being playmaker, 10.5 seems fair.

10.5
Also the answer to the question, on a scale of 1-10, how big a is Suarez?

He is currently at 8.5, as he hasn't mentioned Arsenal by name, which if he did would put him at 12.
He has the potential to come down to 3 with doing everything that's expected of him from Liverpool.
2 points as he is always a bit of a on the pitch but also 1 point for doing what he has done.

I'm so pleased Downing is going
The player that has frustrated me most over the last couple of seasons
Thankfully Brendan's daughter saw the truth to make the decision for her Dad

I'd put his base level pre this saga at at least 7.5.

I don't think it's Downing's fault he was bought to do what he does best, beat players and get his cross in but was played on the left with Suarez as a lone striker and thus nobody in the box or was exchanged for Carroll during the game, the guy he could have supplied or used on the right when Carroll played and thus couldn't give Carroll the supply he needed as Carroll loves running onto the ball to head it, which you can find by watching his goals to date.
It also wasn't his fault we got in BR who prefers a 4-3-3 and short passing. He didn't his best to adapt and improved but he was never that type of player. He was redundant at Liverpool from the beginning due to team selections, tactics and systems.

Downing couldn't cross the ball. For a winger this was a worry
He would over hit 8 out of 10 crosses. Watch him play, see the end product, you can't make excuses for him.
Over paid and over rated. He'll be playing now with the likes of Matt Jarvis and in his element. Good luck to him
