The end for Diaby ?

If (and this is a big IF), we managed to sign gustavo and Perez was signed after impressing during his trial period, would that signal the end of Diaby's career at Arsenal ?

Wilshere, Ramsey, Arteta, Perez, Rosicky, Cazorla, Gustavo and sometimes Chamberlain.

Where would he fit in ? I don't actually mind this because at least it means that Wenger has realised that he can't rely on an injury prone player.

What do you think ? Not good for Coquelin either

ps : Please remember this is all hypothetical

Yeah I did think that, seen a few comments saying he's looking decent but I assume he'd be a squad player. No harm in getting more squad players as long as we strengthen the first team as well

Persistent injury hasn't ended it so I doubt this will. Diaby could be quality if fit so why not keep him (but not rely on him!).

Coquelin is average so more-than-happy for him to be bumped one further down the pecking order.

For me he could be used in cup games basically and getting up to speed with the English game, adapting to life in England etc... training with a top 4 team would already improve him. He's still young so there's no rush.

Saw him play for the first time against City and did exactly what you want from a DM, break up the opposition's play and give the ball to our more creative players. Also did a few long back passes to the keeper to ease pressure and slow the game down. Because he is also a young player, he would be a decent signing.

Diaby will stay, no question

He'll get fit for 6 games during the season and be rewarded with a new 3 year contract on more money

Isn't he married to Wenger's daughter?

The forecast following his last injury was that he would not be available much before Christmas. Thereforethere is unlikely to be any decision taken this side of New Year.

My guess is that Wenger could well loan him out in the next transfer window to see whether he can come
back from injury.

If there is a repeat then I think that the writing is on wall for his career at Arsenal.

Whatever his talent there comes a point where you have to draw a line.

I wouldnt include him in the PL squad. Let him have a proper rest and recovery and when he is fully fit let him get few reserve/cup games but aim for him to be fully fit and ready for 14/15 season as one final chance

It was the end for him when he picked up that injury, useless player.

IMO AW would retain Diaby even if he were dead a 'la Weekend at Bernies...

There is never an end to Diaby, his spirit is eternal.
