Who Would be your No1 choice for me it will have to be Doyle. Seen Myhill v Everton and Derby looked dodgy in both and was No2 to Carson last season says it all, but looked decent when played for Hull. Doyle has alway given good account of himself when called upon.

I think you have to give Doyle a chance now, if your not willing to give the guy a chance now then he is never going to get one.
He needs to play the weekend in my books, he has known the main back 3 allot longer than Myhill. If we are not going to give him that chance, then let the guy move on and move on in his career.

It's either.
Both have good games but equally both prone to the odd mistake.
I think Myhill's edges it with experience. Close call.
Just want to say - at last I've found a site where fellow Bluenoses like to chat. I only get up to Birmingham about once a month so I don't get to as many games as I'd like.

Liverpool away, beaten twice on his near post!!!!

Doyle doesn't make that many mistakes as such but he is a little awkward at times, especially around his feet, he is a big man and not the most agile, as we saw vs Cov last year.
Myhill has the ability to be a good keeper, as he has proven, but his confidence is clearly shot, poor in first 2 games. We need to get behind him, chant his name, and give Hughton time to work on his self-confidence
"England's Number One!"
Yes i know he isn't English but why ruin a great chant, was great when we started singing it to Foster on his home debut vs Blackburn!

This is, to be quite frank, totaly UNBELIEVABLE
One game into a new season, and already it looks as if CH team selections are being brought into question.
Doyle has played under 3 different managers at Blues, and he WASN'T first choice for any of them.
Get a grip for gods sake

Agreed Zulu
There has been a lot of uncertainty at Blues, players not yet knowing where their future lies (such as Dann and Ridgewell) and a few new players means a lot of gelling is needed for us to start to get to grips.
We also have injuries, and if we had King/Jerome fit we would have played them in a 4,4,2 but CH did the best what he could.
No Michel because maybe he was on way out, and indeed that was the case.
Maybe the same with Dann looks like £10M would land him.
So under the circumstances CH is doing well, the good points are we are creating more chances than before

Doyle every day. I thought when we got rid of Foster, Doyle would be our number 1 regardless of any other other keeper we bring in

Butland is too young but give it 4 years i think he would be very important for us, he has more potential than Foster IMO
