5 mill for Finnbogasson, why not?

We all think he is a player. He is scoring 20+ in a much better league than ours and that was only his first season. Already started scoring this year as well. We would all have been happy enough keeping Hooper and not having the 5 million from his sale. Finnbogasson might not score 30 for us, but I think he would knock in 20+, I would bet money on it.

Wages wouldn't be a problem, can't be on much now and don't have to make him the highest paid player even with a 5 million transfer.

Are we going to sign another unknown for 2-3 mill? They miss more than they hit.

Biscuit Tin Celtic will never pay out £5M on anyone. Lack of ambition at board level.

Once you're gubbed by free flowing Dandy Dons on Monday the knives will be out for Lennon

Be afraid, be very afraid.

I'm confident that Finngobasson will be a Celtic player within 2-3 days. £4m plus a percentage of future transfer fees. We'll sell him to the EPL for £9m in 2 years time after he's scored 55 goals in his 2 seasons with us.

But is he as good as Hooper ?

i think from what ive seen of him he is every bit as good a finisher as Hooper was
The other parts to his play i have no idea about

I wish to God that in SPL games at least we start playing 2 strikers in every game who wan't to get into the penalty box and get on the end of chances. The number of times Forrest, Izzy, Lustig, Mathews, Commons put balls into the box aimed at a lone Celtic player who has 3 defenders to escape.

Also when a striker moves wide to find space we need midfielders who are prepared to attck the space created in the box, like Petrov used to.

Big Derk is the type who will drift in to the box from the left when we have the ball on the right, Sammy doesn't do enough of that.
