Only Wanyama, who like Kanga said 'is a poor mans Mulumbu', is in all their starting line ups who wasn't in their team last year.
to the fraggle who said we have the worst attack in the league.

No, Puncheon and Rodriguez are half decent at providing cover and with that midfield they'd be seeing sod all of the ball anyway. We're better then them, they can adapt to us.

Six places in the league table and two utter trouncings last season should attest to the fact that West Brom are better than us as it stands.

Oh and underachievers and overachievers- Well I think Southampton will do well as I said above. I will be inetersted to see how they do on Saturday. They were one of the worst teams to come here last season. Passing the ball endlessly in their own half until we closed them down so their keeper could knock the ball out of play. Potchettino though seems to have them playing well and have some talented players.
Underachievers: Don't know whether you would call it undeachievement but given the money they have spent I still think Norwich will struggle. They finished in a false position last season after they beat us while we were on our holidays and a freak win over City. Their Football Manager signings haven't really impressed me. Can't think of any SPL strikers who have come to England scored 10-15 goals, Hooper won't be any different. Van Wolfswinkel hasn't scored goals in a top league either, so unless he turns out literally to be the dog's bollox they are going to struggle.

Teix,
Obviously, we are interested in Sinclair, but do you think we'll get another in aswell?
Rumours are real quiet. Still think we're 2/3 short.
Deffo 2 wingers and DM cover IMO

fair point about Long starting over Rosenberg due to lack of pace.

Clarke has been going on about 4/5 players so I'm just hoping that means we are looking at other players as well. Squad depth is what hurt us last year and if it only going to be Sinclair and Vydra then we are in the same boat as last year really.
I'm convincing myself Garlick and JP still hae something up their sleeve. The whole point of not extending the stadium was to focus on squad development instead. The fans are beginning to become concerned and Clarke sounds a bit concerned now as well. If things go wrong the fans will turn on JP first.
Its a given we won't do anything in January whatever happens so I'm hoping they realise that we can't go through a season with the squad as it is

I'm sure there is more work going in behind the scenes but other than 'talks' with City over SS. It's very very quiet.
Good point regarding the Stadium, completely forgot about that.
I hope we get in Sinclair (pref before the weekend) and also do abit of late business. Maybe a deadline day signing of another winger (Hoilett) and a DM.
Time will tell

Clarkey just started his first press conference of the season
@smadeley_star: Clarke: "We have a few targets in mind. Doesn't look as though we will have any reinforcements by Saturday. The club are working hard." #wba
