Scotty Parker

Looks like he's off to QPR for around a fee of £3.5million

As much as he was generally disliked on here and on Twitter, gotta say I personally loved Scotty Parker

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/queens-park-rangers/10240232/QPR-to-sign-Scott-Parker-from-Spurs-in-next-48-hours.html

He wasn't the best played in midfield, but every midfield needs someone who works, tackles

Can't fault his workrate and attitude, always gave 100%, little bit gutted he's off but he will do really well at QPR with him and Joey in midfield they will be tough to beat.

Should mean Capoue announced soon

Assuming they settle at all

The signings this summer might prove to be great but to me AVB is taking quite a big risk and I don't think it was necessary to do so

Well I guess finance wise it probably was.....bet even @ 32 Scotty wage was bigger than the newbies...

And was clint a free....can't rightly remember now....but if so.....high wages.....

Clint was purchased last year - cost roughly £6m

Hhhmmnnn...ok.....but probably higher wages than these new lads......!?

Fair too say or not.......!?

Yeah fair to say - imagine Clint's wages were higher

I was up for keeping him as backup for 1 more season as I think he can still play a part, but that was before I knew about capoue being on his way. £3.5m is a good fee to be fair and hed probably want to play football at his age. Have to be honest and say I was dead against his signing at first but he did well for us. Hope he performs at QPR.... But they fail to go up obviously

In - Soldado, Pauliho, Chadli and Capuoe (not official yet)

Out - Caulker, Parker (almost), Dempsey and looking likely Huddlestone.

Apart from not getting in a replacement for Caulker at the moment, we have strengthened massively.

Not gutted he's gone but definitely a little disappointed .

Scotty P is a leader on and off the pitch. I've got no doubt he'll be severely missed for this. But as Don said above, on paper, we now have a much stronger midfield.

Luckily Sandro and Dembele are back fit, so if the newbies take time to settle, the old 1-2 should see us thru

PS I really didn't think QPR would make it back to the PL next season, but with Scotty P they've got a real chance!!!!
