Torras has spoken out after signing from Barcelona. 'I'm very happy with this new step in my life. After 2 seasons at incredible FCB, I have decided to totally turn my life around and from now I'm part of Wolverhampton Wanderers. With great enthusiasm the new challenge is to try and get to the football elite'.
A very exciting and unexpected type of signing for obvious reasons! I think it's brilliant that we are able to attract players, albeit unproven, from huge clubs like Barca. I think he's in for a culture shock but hopefully will be a part of a bright future at Molineux!

Have wolfie and Cinci not posted that he should be in our starting line-up on Saturday, that he "looks" a good prospect or that he will certainly be a future Spanish, Argentinian, Mexican, Venezuelan (delete as appropriate) international captain yet?

I was listening to a programme on 5Live last night where they talked about the number of foreign players taking slots in academies and how that has contributed to the lack of English players in the top flight.
From a purely selfish point of view I’m sure we will all welcome a player of his ability who will, without a doubt, go on to captain a World XI in future but what about the local lad pushed down the pecking order by him?
That local lad will end up at Darlaston now when he could have been a future England captain.

Cyp
Put the spoon away.

Has Cyp made a bid to be first to criticise him and not just welcome a bright move yet, so as to bed in early for the ''told you so'' stakes?

You know me too well Cinci.
There must be some sort of sting in the tail though as I just cannot see the merit in a 17 year old Spaniard moving from sunny Barcelona to 3rd division Wolves, much as I want him to be the next Iniesta or Xavi.
He'll probably fail the "in-depth" medical that we now seem to put our transfer targets through when his prosthetic leg falls-off.

Yeah, saw it on another Torras thread, Wooly. Cracking strike, but I also remember the Mujangi-Bia vids where he looked like he belonged with Cruyff. Unfortunately he had more in common with Crufts than Cruyff.
