Gera signs new 1 year deal.
Pro's -
Experience
Good player on his day
Good to have in changing room
Cons -
Old
Injury prone
I think he might of only got a new deal 'cause we haven't got any signings in.
Thoughts?
Gera re-signs.

McAuley made a great tackle to stop a Russia goal.
Totally in agreement with Teix about Gera. Last season, despite goals against Liverpool and Sunderland, he played too many games where play bypassed him. I can't understand re-signing an injured player yet releasing MAF.

Actually, if we sign Scott Sinclair, then with Anelka on board and Rosenberg showing goal scoring form - and he's got a lot more pace than MAF - then I can understand releasing MAF.

Clarkey just started his first press conference of the season
@smadeley_star: Clarke: "We have a few targets in mind. Doesn't look as though we will have any reinforcements by Saturday. The club are working hard." #wba

tan, on his day, he is still a top player. It's just that we don't see 'his day' often enough.

Gera another sick note year

He certainly won't be a first pick, Firey, and a few of us do feel this should be his last contract with us. His next serious injury will be his last.
