Yep, the usual suspects who only deem players from Spain/Germany as UTD worthy

We have 3 central midfielders.... Even if he isn't the "right man", i can't see how rational people would be happy that we seem to have missed out on him.

I can only hope that Moyes has something up his sleeve... Because if we don't sign a CM, we are in trouble.

Moyes should contact Bayer Leverkusen and tell them to name their price for Lars bender.

That lad would be an absolute revelation at United and in the PL. He's got it all.

I see jsp is acting like a tool as usual.

I know what you're saying jsp but Kleberson, Djemba and Miller were panic buys after Keane. I'd have rather promoted youth, ie Fletcher, than have bought those in hindsight.

Just trying to use hindsight again.

I know Fellaini is Premiership proven. But he's Prem proven in a certain formation. I certainly wouldn't buy him just so we've got someone.

As far as us being in trouble next season with no-one else, I'll take being in trouble if last season is anything to go by.

Not any more trouble than we have been in 5 yrs.

We need quality, not quantity. Fellaini is not quality, he is the definition of quantity, and an overpriced one at that.

And he does not have to be german or spanish, just good. We should not buy any prayers out of desperation only to regret it 6 months down the line. We need world class to supplement the average we have, not average to add the over rotated average we already have.

3 midfielders, we have never been so short. How can people dismiss Fellaini, yet be happy with the idea of Giggs and Jones as 4th and 5th choice? It is insane.

btw. just 4 years ago, we had Carrick, Scholes, Hargreaves, Fletcher and Ando as our CM options.

For a team of the standing of Manchester United to have only three recognised senior cenral midfielders (Carrick, Cleverley & Anderson) two days before the start of the EPL season is nothing short of a disgrace. And one of those three players is majorly injury prone and when he is "fit" can't last the full 90 minutes.

It's absolutely ridiculous. Phil Jones and Ryan Giggs are not bona fide central midfield players. Darren Fletcher is clearly finished as a top level footballer and very possibly as a footballer altogether.

United need a minimum of two quality central midfielders signed before the end of the window. The fact that none have been signed two weeks before the window shuts and right on the eve of the new season is so ridiculous it's laughable.
