Pre-AVB vs post-AVB

Whilst bored watching the England match on Wednesday my mind got to thinking about our signings pre and post AVB arriving, and whether we could put out a side containing one or the other and what each would be like (told you I was bored). I managed to build two teams, both made up of players still currently at the club, and came up with:

Pre (4-5-1):

Post (3-5-2):

Lloris
Vertonghen
Capoue
Fryers
Chadli
Holtby
Paulinho

Not really sure what the point of this was, just found it an interesting exercise. I think it shows at least that we have two strong teams in the squad at present, some will amost certainly move on but will be replaced. The first of these teams has done pretty well for us over pre-AVB seasons but were pretty much all guaranteed starters with 'lesser' players behind them, which shows how we've improved over the last 14 months or so.
