statistics ----- there"s a word to ponder ,
statistics would suggest that red bull would be in a sorry state without the mercurial vettel these past 5 years in fact red bull never won a bean until vettel joined them for 09 ,
lets also consider mark webber who has always been one of the fastest drivers on the grid that has had the better of every team mate he has ever been teamed up with, that includes drivers of the calibre of nico rosberg , coulthard , heidfeld , has for the large part never extracted the same performance from his red bulls as vettel has which would seem to prove that it is vettel and vettel alone making the difference at red bull -
lets also consider the 2011 mclaren which had the beating of webber and was a very good match for the red bull yet once again vettel and vettel alone decimated both of the mclaren drivers in there equally competitive with red bull machines ,
lets also consider the 2012 red bull that was never the quickest car on the grid yet vettel and vettel alone by a mixture of intelligence , race craft and blinding pace joined the ranks of all the time greats with his third WDC that year -
for me the most impressive aspect of vettel is his intelligence in and out of the car , not to mention the bollox he showed when demonstrating and then telling red bull where to shuv there team orders ,
something that no other current driver has ever had the bollox to replicate with there respective teams which suggests to me that he has more guts than any of the current drivers and also knows he is indispensable at red bull and he knows that horner and co also know that he is indispensable

Where have I ever said McLaren have no knowledge of the Mercedes PU?
We're talking specifics here, what makes the Mercedes PU stand out from the rest, the kind of things Mercedes would do their all to protect.
If we're talking daft things I'm afraid you're leading the way by a country mile. Debating PU's with me for days, taking on my Control Electronics arguments over and over only to then tell me,
"so how do mercedes know what the " control electronics" are outputting if not by a computer that mclaren can see -
------------------ not really sure what the control electronics are or even if there is such a thing but never mind -"
To coin a phrase, you could"nt make this stuff up
Know what all the parts of the PU do yet? realised that Mercedes choose what McLaren get to see?

suggest you go back and look at the start of our debate nsix to find out who said what and when they said it -
i have only said mclaren would have been feeding honda information about the merc PU ,
---------- it has been you adding bits on arguing all along that mclaren would not have a clue about the PU ,
what do you seriously expect me to say to somebody that thinks mclaren F1 -- repeat mclaren F1 would not have a fairly -- repeat fairly knowledgeable idea of the merc PU after having it inside there cars for over a year
