Why is it...

That as soon as an player is linked with Arsenal, that player suddenly becomes 10x better than he actually is?

Also the fans suddenly really want the player to be signed, when before they wouldn't have given him the time of day.

The latest example: Cabaye.

Well clearly you've not read any of the stuff written on here about Cabaye - the consensus seems to be that he's a decent play, but not what we need, and wouldn't make much difference to the squad.

He'd add a bit of depth but would not change our fortunes... decent player tho
