Bertrand is a solid solid defender , we have PVA there and another player whose name at the moment escapes me. I think we should be going for Luke shaw, who we can even use as an attacking left. Even if we buy him a year or two later he still be counted as home grown. So no need to spend money on coentrao for two reasons . he snubbed us for real and I don't like his hair cut....

Luke Shaw.

I’m in the Luke Shaw camp. The guy isn’t an overrated English player, he’s the real deal. English players really are at a premium and he’s a Chelsea fan to boot. From what I’ve seen of Shaw he has the potential to be as good as Cole, surely this is a transfer that will happen at some point, possibly after a good year this season.

I'm not about signing English players for the sake of it but when appropriate ones come along it makes sense to bring them in rather than looking aboard. Yes he might cost a premium but for Chelsea I think it is worth paying a little extra and given his age he'd still represent good value.
