Much as I should be delighted with a point away at Wigan, a team 2 divisions above us last season, I think it's fair to say that, at 2.0 up at half time & still 2.1 up in the last minute,a 2.2 draw is hard to take.
However, on seeing the fixture list back in June & seeing our first 3 opponents as Blackpool, ex-premiership & play-off losers, Wigan, premiership last season & Blackburn, again premiership last season, I thought things couldn't be more difficult & feared the worse.
Given these fixtures had someone offered me 3 points from these 3 games
I would have glady taken them, so I have to admit the 4 points we have, I feel is exceptional. Again, but for a last minute lapse it could have been 6 points but I'll happily take what we've got & hope we can build on this excellent start to the season.
Barman, another pint of Stella pleeesh...............wot do ya mean I've had enough. Hick !

I'm really worried now Bob's confident! I'm sure it will be service as normal when his hangover kicks in.

Only concern is that we are leaking late goals whereas last year we were scoring them- Blackpool 87 and 93 minutes - Wigan 89 Minutes - We have actually dropped 4 points - we could be sat in the top 6 now. But this is a different class to League 1

Like all fans I wanted to see Championship football back at the KM but I did expect to watch us getting stuffed most weeks. The late flurry in building the team didn't help my confidence either but, like last year, I was confounded. Brave, intricate, attacking football mainly from the wings, with a couple of hardworking skilled central midfielders in front of a resolute defence has been good to watch, but also that when the ball is lost everyone scraps to get it back. I just hope we have enough strength in depth to weather the inevitable injuries. Who needs foreign investment?

Fair play to Dickov bringing on Paynter in the final few minutes - which almost paid off!
