I also think it could well be Sakho. Things will go very fast and Wenger is a long time fan of his. Decent cover and will offer something different.
Koscielny Mertesacker Vermaelen Sakho is not bad and Sagna can cover if needed.
Why Sakho ? Well players like Howedes won't go this late in the window and Sakho is available. And for those who say that he won't want to sit on the bench, have you seen our injury list ? he will get loads of playing time and could prove to be a solid option.

Apparently he's still not 100% fit. He'll be a class player for us this season just wait. He's not going anywhere.

I just think Pod has an awkward running style which makes him look lazy. He's not that fast either so that doesn't help him.
He does score some great goals though

There IS a problem with Podolski. I feel that he doesn't quite fit into the system we play, he is not quick enough or have a trick to play wide left and through the middle his hold up play is lacking (which Giroud does at least offer, even if many don't think he is good enough).
For Pod to succeed he needs to be playing with a striker in a 4-4-2 formation. He has undoubted finishing ability but his all round play doesn't really suit our system.
I can see him going if the football Gods smile on us and we get Di Maria.

Rubbish, he was half fit last season and still managed to bag 11 EPL goals. The guy is class. Why do we need to get rid of anyone. Let's build on the squad we have.
