Would any of you bears be happy about this?

think 6 games a year is a wee bit generous, however, the bears are willing to accept that judging by the end of season posts about him... never quite got around to figuring that one out...sure you can go a bit loopy winning a championship, but surely it doesnt change your views on a player?
ffs harald brattback couldnt hit a barn door with a banjo with celtic, he scored the winner to halt 9 in a row...didnt make him any better at taking his chances though and was duly punted because of it...

You miss the point. Not similiar to Brattback.
Played in his preferred position, he does the business. We're not talking about one goal in one game, we're talking about the last third of last season.
He's showed that he can be a good player for us in the right position.

I've slated the big lump plenty in the past but to be fair to him in the second half of last season (when played in his preferred position) he looked a player.
He won everything and made show of Izaguirre in the cup final when we played the diagonal ball from midfield.

Never quite figured that out or never WANTED to get your head round it?
The truth about Lafferty is that hes never been totally useless - hes always done OK. But hes never lived up to the pricetag.
Plus he has also done some silly things - but hes not the first young, highly paid footballer to do stupid things and he wont be the last.
Not many Rangers fans will tell you Lafferty is now accepted as the real deal number one partner for Jelavic.
What they will tell you is that he has probably now shown on enough occasions that he has the ability and big game mentality to be a success at Rangers - when played in the right position with the right partner.
Lafferty still has everything to prove. But hes shown hes got pace, works his socks off and can finish. Hes also shown real signs of growing up (and is engaged with a bairn on the way).
A settled, fit Lafferty up front with Jelavic would easily be worth 20 - 25 goals a season IMO.

Coach your opinion is flawed-"setlled" :do me a favour, a concrete overcoat is the only thing that will settle him. And fitness,he has no pace to speak of and his technique is like a tent full of clothes poles in a hurricane.

Fitz;
Lafferty has no pace to speak of? No technique?
Eh? Really?
You need to go watch a rerun of the championship winning game vs Kilmarnock. Lobbing the keeper so accurately at pace as he sprints through the middle?
Aye thats right - no pace and no technique.
I have watched that game several times - all three of Laffertys goals were well taken in an extremely high pressure game. He can do it for sure - he just doesnt do it often enough.
And whats wrong with the suggestion that a guy who joined his heros for a big money fee at the age of 20 could settle down a few years later, grow up a bit and as a result improve as a player?
Does your hatred of all things Rangers deny you even the slightest bit of common sense and objectivity?

Lafferty has done it at the end of the last two seasons .Last year in particular there was an all out attempt by the teams occupy 3rd to 6th position in the league to make sure that Walter finished his final season as Champions.
Some teams rested key players other just did not try. Not liking Lafferty does not necessary mean a person having a hatred of Rangers.
