This is not a dig folks.
When Arsene Wenger took the hot seat in 1996, the Gunners found a new lease of life. Within two seasons they were Champions of England as well as FA Cup winners, Arsene's first of two doubles, the latter of which came in the early noughties.
In his pre-historic years, Wenger the footballer had only one title to his name, the ligue 1 title with Strasbourg. In comparison his managerial career has been triassic.
The issue today however, seems to be a man living off of past glory. A man so obsessed with the early years, that the here and now isn't even an option. Why bring in a top class player when you can dig up a gem?
Arsene's teams have been used to a raptorous applause over the years, for delivering the silverware that the supporters crave. But that silverware now seems a world away, a lost world, a land before time.
How do Arsenal fans feel about their teams season ahead? Is Wenger still the man to bring back the title?

If you wanted real ammo, you should've looked at Wengers last days at Monaco to draw a comparsion that might actually be real of concern to all Gooners today.

Why do guys think that every anti-wenger article is rubbish.
Imo the main reason why we have gone six yrs without any trophy is because some of our fans are too scared to criticise wenger even when its so obvious that he is now a has-been.

I've no interest with kissing anyone's back side - doesn't stop this article from being terrible.

Why do you think it's not rubbish just because it is anti-Wenger? You're attitude is fairly 'sickening' frankly mate, it seems to be "have a go at anyone who isn't spending all their energy slating Wenger".
Doubtless you're one of these people who insists on going on about anti- and pro- 'brigades' and the like, with nothing but polarised opinions on anything - grow up, there's a good fellow.
