This will be our first home game of the season, but it comes on the back of two away fixtures against Arsenal and Chelsea, so it will be a little more tougher on the legs for the players at the weekend.
It seems that Lambert will play the likes of Benteke, Gabby for a third straight game in a week, but I think we can take a lot of heart from the manner in which we have performed so far. I have always believed the brand of football we play is best suited for us to play away from home, so it is vital we perform in a competent manner tommorow, even if we do not get the desired result.
Liverpool, just like us, from the back end of last season have being playing a pretty brand of football. Their link up play between their attacking players have been their strengths, and are slowly gelling together as a squad. Their focus will be ensuring their CB's manage to keep Benteke quiet, something they did not do last season.
I think we are capable of taking three points, no doubt, but I just feel the game will be that extra tougher because of the Chelsea game. Liverpool may well be suited to doing what we did to Arsenal and counter attack us to victory.
Opening Home Fixture Against Liverpool

Can't see there not being goals in this.
Both teams to score is almost a certainty.
I think we could win it in the last half hour as Villa tire a bit, at this stage of the season three big games in a week is really tough and we have looked exceptionally fit throughout pre-season.
I reckon 3-1 to Liverpool, but it will be a closer game than the final scoreline suggests.

It's going to be a fantastic game between two very good sides, each of whom want to play football. Totally lacking in divers, nancy boys and blokes with swanky haircuts. I wish Villa well, they have very good owner and manager, but then again so have we. I hope for an absolutely cracking game and Liverpool to win by two clear goals.

Think there'll be goals on both sides. Benteke's a threat, but the real force at the front in the first two games has been Agbonlahor, who's broken through the defence at critical moments. And we also have other players who aren't shy of scoring goals.
Don't think the two matches will make much difference at this stage of the season; if anything, they've helped us get up to speed.
I think it'll be close. 2-2 probably the safest bet, but I've just got a feeling we'll nick it.

OK, I'm as naive as feck, but I do not want a draw !!! We had them last season, too many of them, time to move up. A win, a win, or, for a change, a win. For us.

Arsenal have had three games in a week, and agree that this time of year shouldn't be a problem.
Liverpool at home in recent times and historically not good for us but today may be different

Looks like the three games did catch up with us. Liverpool were reasonably comfortable. Fair result. We just move on.
I think our opening win, of three difficult games, will still help us. Over the season, I think things will turn out good. I think Liverpool will do pretty well, especially if they keep Suarez.

I thought a draw would have been fair

villa for another relegation scrap this season then?

If they play like they have in the first three games, there's no chance of that.

Chronic...... bet on Villa to go down? For charity again
A lot of teams Spurs included will probably be happy to get three points from those games
