When..........

..................do we steal a Barca style coach, and let them run the academy, so that we can develop Barca style players? Is total football the way forward and would it work in the EPL? I find it incredible that we're still not producing the players that the great academies at Ajax, Santos and Barca can. A club like ours can't compete on the money front, so we need a different edge, and this seems to be the obvious, and affordable one. We have millions of folk in the Midlands, so there must be a few kids out there that we can mould into great players and a great team? Surely such kids would love the club, and show more loyalty, than the Youngs/Milners/Barrys of this world?

Or do Barca succeed, because they pay huge wages, to keep what they've developed and it that regard, would such a task be impossible for a medium sized club like ours?
