Was in the away end yesterday at Everton with my best mate who's a baggies fan.
Fellaini looked average at best, I honestly can't believe people who overhype this player, his only positive is his aerial ability defensively and offensively.
He was playing as Everton's deep holding player, his passing wasn't even good and you can tell he just doesn't suit playing in that role. Also to those who say he would be the Roy Keane midfielder we need, that's just nonsense, his tackling yesterday was naive, poorly timed and just average at best!
I just feel Fellaini suits playing off the striker in a team that plays very direct football, Moyes used him like this for Everton and he was efficiently lethal. It just doesn't make sense to buy him unless Moyes was going to play him off the striker.
I do understand that his head might not have been in the right place yesterday, but it was the first time I've seen him play that position in the flesh, a position that he'd play for us. He actually got outplayed by Claudio Yacob who played in the same position for WBA.
On a more positive note I thought Baines was really good yesterday, he was up and down the wing, putting dangerous crosses in and was one of the most dangerous players on the pitch today, however I feel Evra is still nearly as good if not better than Baines at the moment, just feel it isn't a PRIORITY signing (few midfielders obviously priority)
On a side note, Seamus Coleman looks a fantastic little player, him and Baines were the ONLY players yesterday that looked likely of threatening for Everton.
I just feel the club should, in the next 6 days try and buy a big world class player who suits our style, or just buy nothing at all, I really dont want the club to buy Fellaini.
What are your thoughts?

Fellaini has a better first touch, is better at passing, is stronger on the ball, has a better 'trick' on him and Moyes seems pretty sure he'll do well in our midfield unless you think he's purposely trying to undermine our chances by buying a guaranteed failure..

I see that our resident tool is fapping all over Fellaini as usual.
If people are so obsessed over midtable defensive midfielders then you should look no further than Diame or Nzonzi.
Both far better than Fellaini in that role.

He was nullified because we put Jones on him for the whole game. But even then he played behind the striker so it would be unfair to slate him for playing a position that he wouldn't be for us.

Yeah Jones did well against Fellaini in that game but the two occasions when he's caused us some problems (the 1-0 last season and the 4-4 at OT) he also played behind the front man and not in midfield so those games aren't a barometer of how good a midfielder he is.

Yeah, i agree but while I have seen him play well at DM, his ability when playing behind the striker (if he does that in an emergency for us) is a great option to have.
