What Can Be Done To Label This Window Okay?

At the start of this window I was certain we needed 5 additions (GK, DF, DM, LW, ST) with at least 3 of them getting into our first XI and 1 (GK) challenging the starter, this resulting in 4 very productive signings this will not be the case now and I think the mentality on these boards have changed to the acceptance of only 1 or 2 signings. If Cabaye is the standard we're happy with I'm assuming some believe only 1 top class signing is required (Di Maria??). So this means we have now settled for a less productive summer so what is the minimum we can do from now till the 2nd for Wenger to have revived this horrific summer?

2 world/top class signings (DM & ST) and a backup defender would be the only way we could make this a good summer never mind revive it but anything less would have resulted in settling. I'm still going to celebrate any good signings we make in the next week or so but it would be due to expecting a lot less. Wenger missed the clubs biggest opportunity in nearly the last decade to take advantage of the uncertainty concerning other big clubs around us. Just got to live with it and no close minded supporter's classic 'go support City' chants can dictate my support for this club but I will speak my mind when I feel!

Again, 3 top signings would make it a 'good' window for me but I fully do not expect this so 2 for the first XI and 1 backup would at least come close to reviving the window for me.
Out of this situation what's the minimum activity we can do for this summer to have not been so 'bad'??

Agree with a pacey, direct forward. But really am scratching my beautiful head over who that could be!

Yeah same, benzemas agent said he isn't moving so our options are limited, Giroud is in fine form atm but we are one injury away from having no real recognised centre forward.

Guaiti, Richards/Sakho depending on if Sagna converts to CB or not, Flamini(free ), Cabaye, Di Maria, New ST.

If only, I completely disagree. Giroud must be replaced.

I know he has 3 goals in 3 this season but they were a tap in anyone could get (although he did get himself in the right position for which I give him credit for, a penalty and a shot which he got in the way of and got a lucky bounce from.

I genuinely believe with the strengthening of the squad in Cazorla and Podolski a world class striker could be getting 30 goals a season with us.

The new ST could be...Diego Costa?

Fair enough, I've been impressed with Giroud but agree we need a world class striker to come in. All the sides that won the BPL have had one, don't know if Giroud can reach that level.

Have you lot thought about suarez

Costa is an interesting one. Just signed a new contract snd will probably cost 25/30 million, I don't know if he's the answer... At the risk of sounding a pessimistic Peter, I think it's too late now to grab a class act of proven quality in that position.

You can't wait till the end of the window and then suggest it's too late. Most of the action always happens at the end of the window.

We have no serious striker options on the bench if both pod & giroud start
