Viduka was exactly who sprang to mind when I read this.

If this is for real Verhoek is hardly showing the type of tough mentality it takes to be a success at either one of the OF teams or in the EPL.

Better this type of thing surfaces now rather than once someone has forked out £2.5m on him and committed to paying him £25k a week.

I suspect he might sign for another Dutch club now.

You have to admire his honesty?, maybe he has used this to get Den Hagg or some dutch Clubs to offer him a decent paypacket.
