pathetic 'journalism'

mourinho brings easily the most negative side i've seen at old trafford, and garside decides to write this:

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/news-and-comment/jury-still-out-on-david-moyes-whose-selections-hint-at-industry-over-art-8785085.html

hardly a surprise to to see the anti united media already slaughtering moyes, but when he's done nothing wrong it really does defy belief. imagine the uproar had he gone to stamford bridge and fielded no strikers, instructed his players to time waste from the first minute and then celebrated a 0-0 draw like a victory, like mourinho did last night?

Moyes history of draws does concern me.

Under SAF we hardly drew. It was win or loss for SAF.

Moyes is still finding his feet at this level. Mourinho is a proven successful manager who should know better than to park the bus anywhere. He has enough quality in his side not to do that.

three wins out of eight? and that's including a league cup game in 04-05 when chelsea's first team beat our reserves, and the champions league game with madrid when his side were comfortably outplayed until corrupt officiating altered the outcome. not all that great a record, really.

I wouldn't call that official corrupt, just incompetent.

I doubt any manager who has faced United has had the better team the majority of the time... since Mourinho been at United, Chelsea first 11 has been better than ours, the reason we have wonm the league, is that Fergie instilled a desire in the player to give 100 percent every week against every team... I have never felt in a one off game we are better than Chelsea. Same yesteray, Chelsea first 11 was stronger, but negative tactics hindered you, and you were fortunate to come away with a draw. If mourinho would have attacked yesterday, I think you would have dominated our midfield and probably won

Again why is mourinho wrong to come to the home of the champions and set up defensively? Has anything in his history suggested he would do differently. Is getting a point at OT a bad thing?

Moyes is going to need to understand that our home record is what we live on. What he put out there was uninspired.

i don't see how the story is pathetic or how it slaughters him.

it's a fairly accurate account of what happened last night and isnt really critical at all other than saying he still has a bit to prove... which he does... that he preferred industry to flair... which he did.

the last line about never winning at Anfield is a mild dig... but also true.
