He will probably have a good season again and get a good move somewhere.

What a pity that KJ has got shot of him without even seeing him play. That's what Solbakken did with Guedioura, probably one of his biggest mistakes.

It has sounded like Doumbia and Boukari have been longing to go back to France for a long time. Doumbia looked a star for two months then was a waste of time. No Wolves fan has the faintest idea whether Boukari is any good so we wont miss what we hardly saw.
The £13m spent by Solbakken can hardly be described as money well spent, and how Morgan gets criticised for not spending enough is beyond me. Despite all the slating at the time, the money spent on the academy and the stadium has given very good value unlike a lot of our player signings

agreed DJ regarding stadium and academy very sound points

Can't call the stadium development money well spent right now can we? Long term it should be, but whilst we languish in the lower leagues it will offer zero return.
The academy may well become our best asset if used right, just like Southampton's..........if we keep churning them out AND giving them games we will benefit long term.......I know some won't like the strategy I think best serves us, but that is to sell valuable assets at the right time, a player we nurture from zero then sell on for 6 million plus is always gonna be good business and necessary for a club with our financial mantra.

As for the money stale spent, no doubt not a great return, but in honesty our transfer dealings the last three or four years have been terrible and we have blown a fortune.

McCarthy made some poor signings for sure but the value he got from his early signings and the amount we recouped for Jarvis and Fletcher gave him a pretty decent record overall I think.
As for the stadium I do think its important to keep pace with the times and while Molineux looks pretty on the surface it was falling behind many places for facilities and I would vote for a continuation of the development as soon as possible. And I just cannot see that spending that money on the team would have avoided our decline, cause we have surely spent plenty enough to be nowhere near League One.

McCarthy's early dealings are nothing short of fantastic, its not often anyone has worked the market as well as that, not that i can remember at least.
Sadly that did not continue in the Prem, but at least he did recoup big chunks with the sales of Jarvis and Fletcher.
We started so we do now need to finish this stadium project, and now it will have very little impact on attendance, but you do get the feeling Morgan is holding back.

What was wrong with the old stand that resulted in us needing to rip it down and replace it with the Stan Cullis? Was it just a capacity thing?
I agree with DJ that Wolves need to keep developing and updating the facilities for the spectators, however we did not and do not need to increase capacity beyond about 30K as we will not get that many fans on a regular basis.
If the reason to build the Stan Cullis stand was purely capacity, then I do not think it money well-spent and the funds would have better been spent on the team whilst in the Prem.
I agree that Morgan did fund MM well in the early days, however towards the end of his tenure, he was not supported well financially, especially in that fateful last transfer window when all we signed was Jonsson. More money spent in that January may well have resulted in us staying-up and not sliding down, down as we have.
All conjecture of course!
