Really hope we can sign Ozil and Fellaini by the end of the transfer window.
If we did then despite not being able to sign Fabregas, Thiago and Baines I would consider this a very good transfer window.
Doesn't look like we have a chance of signing anyone else really, apart from Baines, but I doubt Everton would let us have both Fellaini and Baines so I think it'd be one or the other.
What's your view on our efforts this transfer window and if we were to end up with Ozil and Fellaini?

Look at the amount of times he's taken Cole, the best left back in the world over the past 5 years+
................
Funnily enough he hasn't. However the often slated Valencia has.

Out of all the games i've seen Cole play for England and Chelsea, despite being able to deal with Cristiano Ronaldo in most game, Nani is the only winger who seems to constantly get the better of him when he's played on the right.

Fellaini deal looks done! Ozil is wishful thinking...not dead butvery doubtful.

thats why football is a funny game, the 2nd greatest player of his generation failed to get out of Ashley Cole's pocket throughout his United career and Valencia a clown in comparison to Ronaldo manages to make a mug of Cole more often than any player in recent memory

I really have to question what you have been watching, because Nani has only played on the right against Chelsea and Ashley Cole twice in his time at United once in the Community Shield in 08/09 and again in the FA Cup last season.
The only other times he has played against Chelsea have been on the left (twice against Inanovich).
During this period Valencia has mainly played against Cole.

Well I'll tell you one game I watched where Nani was on the right and against cole, and had him for breakfast that you failed to mention on that suspectly short list. United v Chelsea, at Old Trafford in the 2011/2012 premier league season.
Give this a watch:

That season Young (when he wasn't injured) started on the left and Nani was on the right, then he would move to the left when Valencia played on the right
I'm not saying Nani doesn't play on the left regularly too - he does and thats probably his best position. But there are numerous times, more than you state, that Nani has played on the right against Chelsea and had Cole in his back pocket

Can't open youtube at work, but My guess is it is the goal. I can't really say he gave Cole the runaround in that game though.
Not sure how I misssed that off my list though. He did play against Cole that game.
So, adding that game to the list Nani has only played against Cole 3 times.

I haven't checked back but I find it hard to believe that Nani played more on the right than Valencia in 2011/12
Valencia was our player of the season and doesn't play anywhere else than the right

It is a 5 minute video of Nani in that game that includes the goal but also another 4 and half mins of his performance and the many times he put Cole on his backside, got a foul or took him and other players out of the game.
I'm not sure exactly how many games Nani has played starting on the right against Cole, but whether he's started on the right or he's started on the left and faced goal when he's switched wings as some wingers do(Valencia is the only winger he doesn't switch with) he's played a lot of games against Chelsea when Cole has played and always seems to consistently have the beating of Cole.
UnitedRedMacca: I'm not sure on the figures either but Fergies preference that season was Young on the left and Nani on the right or when Young or Nani was injured then Valencia would be on the right and the one not injured on the left.

Nani certainly started the season on the right with Young on the left but Toni started over 20 league games on the right that season
Nani started 24 league games with about 18 of them on the right
I think a couple of Toni's games were at RB
Valencia played the majority of the second half of the season on the right flank. The left was a mix of Park Nani and Giggs. Think Young was injured if memory serves right
