Unbelievable if true !

http://www.sportsdirectnews.com/premier-league/31159-spurs-agree-10.7m-eriksen-deal.php

In this day and age of crazy transfer deals, a gamble on a player these days I reckon amounts to between £4m & £7m but for this sort of money for this sort of player can only mean a good investment.

Same price what we paid for Alonso 9 years ago !!!!

Have to applaud Tottenham's transfer dealings this year

------------

After the summer we've had dealing with the gibbering Arsenal fans, after all the foaming at the mouth about Higuain, Suarez, Rooney, Jovetic, Gustavo, after the countless Welcomes to Arsenal, I'm extra pleased for Spurs.

Arsenal, this is how you do transfers.

Spurs get Lamela and Soldado

Arsenal get Sanogo

I just don't think we need Eriksen. What we need is a wide player, a defensive mid and another centre back. I'm much more worried about filling those positions in. Competition is a good thing but surely the club have looked at Eriksen along with every other club and decided against it.

Most spurs fans have pointed out that Dembele takes on a few and then passes backwards and Sigurdsson doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Coutinho or Eriksen.

Yet , we inquired about Sigurdsson before signing Coutinho !

Good job he turned us down, otherwise Coutinho wouldn't be here after all, no point in having 2 players vying for the same position

Fair enough Geo. Let's see if we get this wide player. We don't appear to be courting any defender and I doubt we will buy a DM.

If we were to go for one of the young Danes at Ajax we should go for Viktor Fischer. He plays on the wings, which is what we need. Scored 10 goals last season too.

Yes we enquired and I'm glad he turned us down. Nothing wrong with having two players fighting for a place, I'm saying Eriksen isn't a priority. We need to find first team players for weaker positions, not add to one of are best.
Eriksen would be nice but the club and many others have all decided against bidding for him.

Kash- I agree, we don't seem to be and that worries me. We added some depth and then lost it all in one game to a league 1 side.
Lets hope the club have something up their sleeve.

With BR desperate to make a marquee signing, and with Ericson's price tag being quoted at £8-10M, then I can only conclude that BR didn't want him. Alternatively BR has set his sights elsewhere. Also, it doesn't appear to be a done deal. I'm not clutching at straws here, I'm just setting out my views.
