Attacking centre backs

Good evening/night/morning

I've just watched this video of Chiriches, pretty good watch! Looks a promising player too. :

Now after watching this video and seeing how attacking and how much Chiriches likes to dribble with the ball up the pitch, it got me thinking, is AVB looking for this from our centre backs now?

Think back to Swansea and I seem to remember Dawson doing 1 or 2 runs through the middle and even in the game tonight Kaboul decided to go for a run up the pitch.

What's everyone's thoughts on this idea? Would you be worried that our defenders are deciding to stroll so far up or would you feel this would be good tactic to use?

I for one like the idea as long as a midfielder/fullback responds by dropping back a little as it gives us more threat and a bit of a surprise element really to other teams.

Good win tonight! COYS

It makes sense for Spurs to have the option of a mobile CB. You've got several midfielders who can tuck in temporarily and having a CB marauding out from the back often seems to cut through the opposition surprisingly well.

It is just something that we need to have. If teams are going to park the bus then this is what we need to do.
