Is he any good? can he play on the left?

The telegraph as well. The reason why it gives some plausibility is because its John Cross at the Mirror. He has some connections at Arsenal. But whether he is a primary target or second/third choice is anyone's guess.

But I'm just saying as a neutral POV however. I couldn't trust any source, reliable or not right now. Especially not with Deadline Day approaching. It could be far too late because we've seen a lot of deals take a lot of time of this Summer, but, they do go very fast on Deadline Day. But you have to get the right players.

Not really. Higuain was a prime example of a deal that was concluded within hours by Napoli.

The deals themselves can be done very quickly if there is a will by both parties. The deals which have lingered this summer have always involved clubs that don't want to sell, like Liverpool, Man Utd and Everton. A lot of business always takes place at the end of the window as shown in previous years because its decision time for clubs on unhappy players. Clubs can't really afford to keep players who don't want to give it their all.

@honigstein: Finally some Draxler info. Release clause of €45m was only valid until end of June. Schalke would sell for crazy money, €50m-60m

Another one bites the dust.....

Yes, but I mean with Arsenal in general. The Suarez saga has gone for a month or so until it came to abrupt end, when you had the chance to sign him but Rodgers explained what he wanted but you didn't offer the right amount. Spend the money when it's there for you.

Higuain was done in ample time by Napoli but again, another saga that lasted a couple of weeks, you were once close or so speculation said, he was having a medical, but I can't recall there being a fee for him so it must have been speculation. But that was another one that went on for a couple of weeks.

Di Maria and Benzema been going for a few days now, since the start of the week, apparently your going to bid this and going to bid that. Wenger needs to sit down and work out his targets at the star of every window and stick with them until the very end, if he misses out, he misses out, but there is all the chance you could sign them.

You've had one major long lasting saga with Suarez and a couple of other big players with speculation around them. The problem you face now is, you've got to wrap up some deals quickly if you are to sign anyone.

Reply to Jenius.

I don't disagree Laura. And sometimes a deadline is exactly the kind of pressure you need to concentrate the mind.

Just call me LRF. Well its the pressure of getting into it early and (in Arsenal's case) place 3/4 bids for top players that will dry out your budget, have them fly over and proceed with talks in the afternoon and get the deals finalised in the evening. That's a must really.
