With all the new recruits he would have struggled to get any playing time this season, but I was still sad to see him go and it is great to see him performing well for Hull since his move.
He's been excellent against City today: calm in possession, moving the ball well and even making a few good challenges to break up play.
With a full season of regular football he might even be a decent outside bet for the England World Cup squad (presuming we qualify!)

I hope he does well. Was always one of my favourite players, based more on what he was capable of than what he actually delivered...

His passing at times is first rate, but that alone isn't enough. While I enjoyed having him in the squad, I don't think he's ever going to be consistent quality. And the thing with the hair is a bit embarrassing even if for a good cause.

He had a nasty habit of scoring against us, usually from 30 yards. Glad he played deeper today.
