It would be the biggest sale since Rooney, no way Kenwright will want to pass it up when they can go out and grab McCarthy for £10m or so.

Hard to say really. Everton aren't as hard up as people make out and it's getting a little too late in the market for them to bring in replacements for their two most important players.
Us trying to sign another player will just be a relief to them rather than then thinking "oh we better sell them now".

Now you cant sack him at the end of the season if you win nothing.

We wouldn't anyway..... We are not a soulless oil stained playtoy.

"Kenwright will want the readies though.... Whatever public face they are putting on."
It's a balancing act though Ji. He'd lose a lot more money if Everton plummeted down the division due to losing their two best players.
The other thing is Kenwright is more desperate to sell Everton as a whole, he has tried to do it for years. Considering their stadium holds them back, he can only entice buyers through either the balance sheets or the playing base and performances. For him, it really is only worth selling if he gets a big fee for it.

It's true, but for all we know, Martinez might not even want Fellaini, preferring to get McCarthy (and do to his former club what he has been crying about at Everton).
I'm sure Moyes has instructed Woodward on how Kenwright and Co operate though. If there is any chance of getting either of them, we will... I'm 100% sure of it.

Perhaps you're right. At least there's only a few days until it's closed and then we can have our answers. This window has been painful.
I really do hope we get Baines, though. I'm indifferent to Fellaini, even though I think he's a good player, but I really think Baines would be class for us and improve us more than Fellaini or Herrera would.

Yes, i would prefer Baines... If we could only sign one Everton player.... Then take a chance on the Spaniard.
The window has been painful, but at least we will have an exciting ride on Monday ... It's been a while since the Berbatov deal.
I expect normal service to resume, next summer.... so let's enjoy the madness

It's going to be exciting and painful for us and Arsenal. I can see both clubs making upwards of 8 bids each for players.

The problem for Everton will be changing their style. Martinez really will be buggered if they leave on te last day and they get noone in.
I'm 90% sure you will get them though, just not sure what price!

He's got Alcaraz to play left back.
