Doyle for waghorn??

Strong rumours that a deal is close for Kevin Doyle to sign for us with waghorn going the other way!
Good for both teams IMO

Bute, I'm far from "hard of thinking". But will there ever be a day when you don't spout off something about him. By all means put it on another board but I think the majority of us on the WOLVES board have read enough.

Cyp, you're behind the times mate. It's called League 1. By the way, if we do ever win the Championship, maybe Bute will give up reminding us all of past glories.

I can't wait for the day we win the Championship again, whoever it might be at the helm. At least you acknowledge the "past glories", WITSS, so that's an advance I suppose. It's only when you sink to League 1 level, you get to realise what it is we miss, and took for granted.

I still hope he stays but certainly don’t begrudge him a move if anyone comes in for him.

Yes, it's all gone very quiet on this today. However, with Nigel Pearson, quiet and no news means it's probably happening.

This is the time when hardball is played - clubs know the desperation of other clubs and like to squeeze that little bit more.

A lot of the activity will be finalised in the last few hours.

I'd be a bit disappointed if he went to Leicester, I'd happily give him the choice but it is hardly a dream in the way Celtic might have been, the place itself is no better than Wolvo and, with any luck, we'll surpass them next year anyway.

I mean we'll never know the ins and outs which have such a big effect of course, promises of first team football or explicit "no guarantees", friction in dressing rooms, old mates from previous clubs, managers you particularly click with etc.

I would have thought that Reading might have come in for Doyle.

I think the reality is that this lower prem clubs, promotion chasing clubs are looking for strikers who carry a goal threat, good though Doyle is, he is not a goal threat.
