Very much a decent signing and as Wenger said, it was born out of "common sense".

My only doubt was over his fitness, but he looked like a rabid dog, putting himself about like a good un'.

He's a very committed player, good in the tackle, distributes the ball quick and simply, chases down loose balls and as well as being a decent midfielder, he can play in either of the fullback positions.

Decent move for all parties.

To be fair, it was his first game and he did eventually settle down and limit the carnage to the middle of the park.

I must admit, I was against the signing...but if he performs like he did today regularly, Arsene will once again show me and everyone else who questioned the signing why he does why he thinks is best
