Apparently a bid for Suarez is coming from Madrid

Good player but a bit overrated.
His finishing is terrible and he lacks stamina.
Not sure he is suited to the physical rigours of the Prem personally.

And that suarez bid will be rejected. Our owners would have to have a screw loose to sell our best player on the final day of the transfer window with no time to get a replacement.

*cough* Torres *cough*

Although I accept that as we'd already signed Suarez by the time Torres left the situation was somewhat different. But you get my point.

Interesting enough FSG seem to view the decision to sell Torres on deadline day and then panic buy to replace him as a mistake. One which they are probably not keen at all to repeat.

Hmm
I do think Ozil going to Arsenal will have something to do with Suarez. Madrid throw money around, but they're not mugs, even though they have Bale, they still need a scorer/creator upfront. I do t think Suarez will go Madrid as that would mean arsenal strengthen which is exactly what we're trying to avoid

Unless Real throw in Benzema plus some cash
Maybe

I think Real will wait until January to make a move for Suarez.
He could be more in demand then than this summer, because he won't be cup tied in Europe and if he hasn't done anything silly before then everything would have died down a bit.
It could work well for us to sell him in Jan if we are clearly challenging for top 4 and can attract a quality replacement.
Sell Suarez for £50m, buy someone for £20m, cash in the bank for the summer.
