which seems possible why are we going after someone (Doyle) who is likely to be on similar money and is similar to what we already have. We need some pace up front, someone like Vaz te etc.
I like Nugent and would be sorry to see him leave, but if he does let's get a 20 year a man in, not someone who will struggle to get 15....Also think we are going for the wrong Wolves player - Sako would be ideal!
If we do lose Nugent...

All I can find trawling the net about this, is a rumour on some Timberland board. Type 'David Nugent transfer news' into Google and nothing comes up.

Have heard a rumour Nugent to Florist for £2.5m if we can get a replacement and currently its Matty Fryatt in the frame as he is surplus to requirement at Hull.

Yes, that one's doing the rounds. I'd be very surprised if there's any truth in it (It sounds like a typical deadline day "Build-A-Story" piece) but I'd be interested to be a fly on the wall when Nugent was given the choice between going to Nottingham for a medical and contract signing or going to hospital to be with his wife as she gives birth.

Nugent out + Doyle or Becchio in= ok, fine, fair enough.
Nugent out + Fryatt in= hideous, horrendous, kill me now

CW, I don't see an awful lot between any of them to be honest.

Agreed, I do no want Fryatt back here. He needed 3 chances to score and has no pace! There was a reason we sold him in the first place.

Because Sven preferred players with big egos (Ultimately too big) and Pearson & co saw an opening to get a Championship goalscorer on the cheap when they were at Hull.

I agree with you on the Sven point, I'm not knocking Pearson's signings. I just don't think Fryatt will score goals in our side.

DM- I honestly believe he would score less than all 3 of the other names mentioned. Maybe im just blinded by not wanting to go back.
Anyway surely we arent getting a striker if Nuge stays which Stringer has just tweeted is likely

A couple of interesting TDD snippets around concerning ex-Foxes:
It seems that Dany N'Guessan has signed for Swindon Town and, furthermore, that the BBC regard him as a "striker".
Also, there's a piece just popped up that Matt Heath has signed a short-term contract with Northampton Town. I remember him being decent for us (although not great of course) back when he was coming through the ranks and I thought at the time that he might be a Leicester player for years to come. Alas, it seems he never quite made it and is now having to battle for a contract in League 2. A bit of a shame really, although I suppose not that unexpected for someone whose lasting impression on at least my memory of his time here was a superb headed goal, rising like a salmon before planting the ball squarely and elegantly in the corner of his own net.
