Hi all,
I was having a little peak at the transfer gossip and I'm surprised that we haven't been linked with a big target man yet.
What we have been doing a lot this year is passing the ball out wide when we can't go through the middle, and then someone (usually V Persie) whips in a peach of a cross to the opposition's centre back. If we had someone big in the box to compete with the oppositions defenders then we would be in the money.
This player would not have to be an all rounder, who can hit an inch perfect 50 yard pass, or would need to be able to dribble past the whole 11 men of the opposition (12 if you're playing Man United). He would just have to stay up front, score a few tap ins and a few headers.
My choice would be Oscar Cardozo, he's big, strong, and slow so he is unlikely to ever be out of position. Not only that, he's got a belter of a left foot and is a prolific goal scorer from free kicks and penalties. He wouldn't cost the earth either, probably around 12 mil at todays prices, and has still got a few years left in him.
Thoughts?
I want a big slow player

We have Bendtner and Chamak, we don't need a target man as much as somebody who will dive in, hope it comes off his shins, foot or head etc. we have players that have good headers but don't pile into the right space.

Ye I do rate Chamakh, but his confidence is destroyed after being behind Bendtner in the pecking order. He's also not strong. I don't think Bendtner will stay, he will either be sold or go on loan somewhere.
