Exciting times?

I'm sure I'm not the only Leicester fan who is hardly excited by transfer deadline day for our club. I will however be happy when the window shuts if we keep all of our star players. For me the only disapointment is the lack of transfers away from the club, how many people would have said Marshall is the only player they would want to leave? I feel if we could have moved a couple on we could have added to the squad and brought players who would want to play and offer competition.

Anyone elses thoughts on the transfers (or lack of) at our club?

'Exciting Times'

I seem to remember that phrase mentioned in these parts some time ago. In relation to emotions called 'ambition' and 'excitement' but for the life of me, I cannot remember what they felt like

Its actually similar to a Chinese curse "May you live in interesting times"

"Exciting Times"

Ah but these ARE exciting times around here Foxy, we've managed to retain our most successful manager of the last decade, kept all our best players that many expected to go and have a young but experienced and settled squad.

To top that our excellent management team have continued on from the successes of last season and we already look to be one of the teams to look out for this season yet again under NP

What an exciting season we are in for......

"Continued on from the successes of last season"

Oh True it was wonderful last season our slid from the top scraping into the playoffs on goal difference and failed to make the final.

Oh please bring me more of that

Oh lordy, where to start with this pile of p-ss

"we've managed to retain our most successful manager of the last decade"

Indeed. Because, let's face it, Craig Levein, Rob Kelly, Martin Allen, Gary Megson, Ian Holloway and Paolo Sousa provided some seriously stiff competition for that title

"kept all our best players that many expected to go"

Like Anthony Knockaert, you mean? Our most skillful player, who cannot get a place in the side thanks to Pearson's lousy 8-0-2 formation?

"and have a young but experienced and settled squad"

Slightly less young (Marshall gone) and less experienced (Konchesky transferred to the naughty corner) than it was at the beginning of the season....

"To top that our excellent management team have continued on from the successes of last season"

I think Nev has perfectly ridiculed that particular comment sufficiently

"and we already look to be one of the teams to look out for this season yet again under NP"

Yep, I hear the likes of QPR and Watford are quaking at the prospect of Team Pearson's tactics of defending for 85 minutes and fluking the odd goal on the rare occasions we break out of our own half

"What an exciting season we are in for......"

Indeed. I for one cannot wait for the International Watching Paint Dry tournament later this year

They should create a new film documenting City's recent managerial history with a star-studded cast of Craig Levein, Rob Kelly, Martin Allen, Gary Megson, Ian Holliway and Paolo Sousa-

....that's "exiting" (leaving) by the way.

Ha ha, I wondered if Foxy would stick his head out of his foxhole !

You seem to have missed Sven off your list of past managers there Foxy, still probably the less said the better I guess, such an abject failure we'd all be better wishing was never associated with LCFC.

Still, look on the bright side, if NP keeps this up he'll be getting a contract extension by Xmas, then foxy will have to stay in his foxhole playing all by himself !

Well that's because, although Sven's period was ultimately unsuccessful, his reign was *in my opinion* the most exciting period in the club's recent history. Certainly since Micky Adams got us promoted in 2003. I'll always have a soft spot for Sven and will review his reign with fondness. If that is all right by you?

If we carry on playing the style and standard of football we have been so far this season, nobody will care because we'll all have died from sheer boredom.
