Where do you see Suarez playing?

i'd be looking to play
Moses...Suarez...Coutinho
............Sturridge

but after rodgers' interview the other day about moses playing on the left allowing coutinho to play centrally, i'm not so sure. i can't see suarez on the right. i think 5-3-2 is the best shout with moses and henderson on the bench to make the difference

He's far more likely to be playing the reverse focal point. cloaked stealth upside down number 6 role, with two inverted, inside rogue forwards, providing thermal incisions.

He's obviously going to be used in an opaque concave 4, hitting the dirty D tangents for the short ball, and ghosting in around the front with a false moustache on the counter.

I hadn't considered dirty D tangents, but utilising them may warp the defensive bandersnatch in the 8th quadrant.

Anyway, Suarez on the right is where I would play him, but it's very important that we don't overplay Coutinho, so I can see Luis playing in behind Sturridge.

Regardless, at last we have some Rafa stylee 'options'.

Whisper it quietly, but I'm not entirely sure where he fits in unless Sturridge loses form.

IMO, if you take him out of the centre-forward position, his penchant for going solo unbalances the team. Put him at number 10 and he just plays the same way he does at CF, but from a deeper position; ie, instead of creating, his first instinct is to dribble when he gets the ball. Ditto out wide.

I think that if we're going to put him in after his ban, our best bet may be RWF. It would be madness to drop Sturridge or move him in any way when he's scoring vital goals, and if Suarez is on the left I think the temptation to cut in and shoot all the time will blind him to Sturridge's movement and Coutinho's supporting runs.

At RWF, he can be charged with beating the full-back, and the knowledge that it's harder to score from that side should add to his unpredictability and make him seek a team-mate more often.

It's all up to Suarez, though. He can be hopelessly greedy at times (sometimes he completely unhinges a defence with a moment of genius and ignores a team-mate in acres of space to take on a ridiculous shot from an acute angle) and he has to realise that a one-two is usually preferable to trying those nutmegs that are becoming increasingly easy to read.

Brendan needs to be strong and tell Luis how he needs to play, because as talented as he is, he'll unbalance the team in any position other than CF in his current guise. Just look at our record without him and how well Sturridge plays when he's surrounded by players playing their roles properly.

There is no place for Suarez IMO without upsetting the balance of the team.

My hope is that we continue to get results in spite of his presence until January and them sell him to the highest bidder from abroad, there will surely be takers with him not being cup tied in Europe.

I would have him as an impact sub until then or when others need a rest/are injured.

It might have been difficult for the manager to have moved the temperamental Suarez when his goal scoring form was so good last season, plus we didn't have the options then, certainly in the first half of the season.

Looking at the squad, the RWF position is where we are the weakest. With Moses (a player I really like) now on the books, I can see him playing on the left. Aspas I think will provide cover from the bench as a central forrard and the RWF spot, with Moses on the left with Sterling as the other option.

Luis is versatile enough to cover all the attacking positions, but I think after his ban and summer shenanigans it's the manager who is in the position of strength and can play him where he see's fit.

I think Luis' position in the team will depend on the form and fitness of other players, but all being well, the RWF position on paper seems the best option to me too. However, Coutinho will be rested and Sturridge is unlikely to remain fit and firing for the whole of the season, so it's a great problem to have

Suarez won't upset the side any more than Aspas would

Sturridge is the main striker and 3 others will swap and rotate around behind him looking to score or set up Danny.

that's Suarez's best postion so we're sorted.
