Sky Sports reporting it went through..
Big mistake in my opinion
Guedioura officially gone

Pep did give far too many balls away this year, but when he had a bit of space against Bolton when they went down to ten he was fantastic. Shame really, but hey ho. Footballers and their so called loyalty, though

Most importantly how much did we sell him for? Didn't he have 2 years left on his contract so I hope we took Palace for as much as possible.
Also glad he has gone to a Premier League team to suffer instead of bolstering rivals in the Championship. Let him suffer. We can't be doing with flaky players this season, we need everyone fully focused and prepared for a season of serious graft.

NEP reckons 2.5mil.

It's just as well he's gone, he was good but not great, and cost us some points already this season. I don't begrudge him a chance to play in the PL, but like Gunter and McCleary, where will he be playing in 12 months time?

£2.5 million was mentioned last night, and if that's the case then it's a very good bit of business. We don't even need to rush out and replace him either,Cohen or Moussi can both do a good job in that role, or dare I say, Greg Halford?

Does anyone else think we might change the formation now? The D is pretty strong. Maybe we don't need a defensive midfielder

I think we still need a deep lying play maker which is what Pep was. He wasn't a defensive midfielder really as he wasn't a tough tackler or someone who closes players down. That's what Billy is after and I don't think anyone in the squad can do that job. I don't see Halford as the answer

We've more than doubled our money on him and he's been pretty poor this season. Gives the ball away a lot and in dangerous places.
That's not to say he hasn't got talent. But a good bit of business I reckon.

Good luck Pep.

Guedioura seemed to try too hard a lot of the time. Seemed to feed off the crowd's expectation of a 30 yard rocket shot every time he got the ball in the opposition's half. I didn't realise he had only scored three goals whilst he was here! Must have had three hundred shots!
Decent enough midfielder and if he can mature a bit and cut out the annoying habit of over elaborating on the ball in his own half he will do well.
I would be inclined to get Cohen into midfield as he is probably the best there is in the squad at pinning the midfield together. Jara and Halford could also fill in there but I think Cohen is the most mobile of the three.
