I think we did pretty well getting what we did for Big Vic. I for one wish him well and hope he can stay injury free and get a run in the team. It's a shame that he never fulfilled his potential though he did give us some fun times in Europe.
Any thoughts on his departure? Good/bad?
Bye bye Vic!

Six million for him is akin to daylight robbery. A much better deal than the twenty seven you got for MF.

Sooner have Vic than Kone tbh at least Vic could hold up the ball and bully defenders

I know kone wasn't great last week but he is better than vic and getting 6m is a great deal for us

He's said nothing but nice things about the club has our Vic. To be honest, the Victor from last season looked better than what I've seen of Kone and Jelavic this season.

We've still to see the best of Victor. Just wish it could have been in an Everton shirt!
Also, Danke and Auf Wiedersehen to Thomas "Hitz the Hammer" Hitzelsperger who has announced his retirement at the age of 31. Alles Gute Thomas! Immer Willkommen bei uns!

Guys.
Well done for securing the services of lukaku. Top player as everyone, except chelsea, knows and a top bloke. In exchange we ended up with big Vic which is something most baggies are happy about. However, the reported £6m Everton allegedly received is quite wide of the mark. West Bromwich paid £3m up front with a further potential of up to another £3m depending on various other things including performance.
Not quite the daylight robbery that had been suggested in some areas of the media.
Good luck this season.

Lukaku

Albion fans were chirping how they are a bigger club than Everton "who's history counts for nothing" and were delighted that Lukaku had chosen to come back instead of going to Everton.
What a difference a few days make.
They are now delighted to have an ageing, injury prone lump who can't hit a barn door - at £6m - and no Lukaku.
What a club
