Has anyone got their hands on this yet?
If you havent pre-ordered i would recommend waiting until there is a patch due
Im using a laptop so i never expected to run it on the highest setting but given my specs the game recommends playing it on 'Extreme"
...even on the lowest setting my frame rate averages at 9fps
Creative Assembly have a track record or releasing games that require patches and they are known for always fixing the game eventually
I just dont know if its acceptable to release a broken game, especially with there being millions of people now actually willing to pay for access to a beta version of the game

Bugs and glitches aside, is it a good game? Because the original Rome: Total War was brilliant.

Not going to lie right now its probably the biggest disappointment of the year
- Theres no more family tree, taking away the actual feeling of creating a dynasty
- the AI is broken, just wait and they will charge you... sometimes routing before they even reach your troops
- its just not fun right now, the turns are monotonous and take forever. Also when you click end turn prepare to wait 2 minutes for the computer to cycle through the 50 other factions
I should have known to avoid when i heard that they wouldnt allow any reviews before it was released

Hmm sounds like they've made quite a hash of little details. Really surprised, I thought this would be a contender for GOTY considering how well the original did. I guess there will be a lot of patches for it.
